The officers of the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, as a result of operative-investigative measures and investigative actions, exposed the employee of the Technical Inspection Center of vehicles on the fact of commercial bribery.
According to the agency, the investigation established that the accused, in order to obtain personal benefit, issued a report on passing the vehicle technical inspection of a privately owned vehicle at one of the technical inspection centers in the Imereti region, despite its visual and technical damage, in violation of the technical regulations approved by the Georgian government.
The investigation is underway under Article 221, part 3 of the
Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages imprisonment for a term of 2 to 4
years.
