Despite numerous recommendation from the non-governmental sector,
shortcomings in the field of technical inspections have not been rectified,
drivers are avoiding inspections, using rented or requested parts, and as a
result, many faulty vehicles are still moving on the roads. The reason for
this, along with a low level of awareness, is the low level of quality of enforcement. It is important for the state to
tighten requirements at the legislative level, to strengthen monitoring of the reform
process, and to improve enforcement, including through the use of smart cameras and inspecting vehicles on the road.
