Gela
Kvashilava, director of the Partnership for Road Safety Foundation, spoke to
Rezonansi about amendments in the periodic technical inspection rules.
Right-hand drive vehicles, which will have non-compliant headlights of European
standards, will not be able to pass the technical inspection, and it will also
happen if the car has ten or more year old tires. With regard to new registered
cars, there is a demand for a catalyst, and for vehicles already in the
country, this norm will come into force in 2022. Gela Kvashilava positively
assesses some of the changes, but said that the most essential was the demand
of the catalyst, and its postponement would have a clearly negative effect.
