The president of Georgian Vehicle Inspection Bodies
Association Davit Meskhishvili spoke on Rustavi 2 TV about the ongoing PTI
reform, the existing shortcomings and the ways to eliminate them, taking into
account the international experience. He emphasized the need to focus on law
enforcement, which results in a decrease the number of inspected vehicles and jeopardizes the effectiveness of the reform.
The weakness of the monitoring system and non-compliance with international
standards are important too.
